Fee overview
As a result of the change of system from the device-based reception fee to the device-independent household fee, all households in Switzerland are basically liable to pay the fee.
Your invoice lists the names of all adult members of your private household who are required to pay the fee – they are jointly liable for payment of the amount invoiced. The collection agency receives household data from your council’s register of residents.
The amount of the fee is determined by the Federal Council. From 1 January 2021, the fee will be:
